Grand Opening Successes and Failures

Happy Wednesday, Dreamers!

It’s been almost a full week since the site went live, and boy has it been a whirlwind!

I first have to apologize for those of you that had a hard time getting to the website last week. We did not anticipate the level of traffic the site received and immediately had to upgrade our servers to handle the influx. If you had any issues during this migration, or if the site is telling you that your account doesn’t exist, please contact us so we can make it right! It was a bad first impression for some of you and I don’t want THAT to be how you view Dreaming Tree! So again, please contact us so we can remedy any issues you may have had!

Aside from the minor bump in the road, we’ve had thousands of shoppers already and we couldn’t be more thankful for all of the kind words and encouragement! I want nothing less than for each and every one of you to have the best possible experience with our site and our files, so we’ll do whatever it takes to live up to that!

With Gratitude,

Leo Kowal

Thank you so much for such great items, the stingy jack lantern was a breeze to put together. Love the 3D cards. Keep up the great work.

    Congratulations, Leo!
And heart-felt condolences, too. I was floored to learn that you and Mary had split up. But if you can both remain amicable, that is good for both your customers. We will remain loyal to both.
I LOVE the new site and the new look! I feel like you went above and beyond and took me straight to HEAVEN!
My poor, long-suffering husband will probably never find me now, unless he goes into the craft room.
I look forward to more amazing 3D items, and more user-friendly tutorials to help me get the most joy from my Cameo.
Your customer service is the best, and I couldn’t ask for more: When my Cameo was recently updated and began slashing through my SVGCuts files exclusively, you took the time to help me personally, and then you went to Silhouette with the problem. Within 24 hours, I had a second update that totally solved the issue! I was able to complete my projects and entered them in the State Fair, where both my projects won a first and second place ribbon!
Good luck with this new chapter in your life. I’m a fan, and a friend forever.

Glad that you are doing so well and look forward to seeing all the new files. I wish that for those of us that love the files more cards ones because some of us do not have the time to always do the others. I love them all.

It was my fault it crashed Leo. When I realized it was your site I had to share with some of my groups ;), & they shared with theirs, & so on. 😀
I was shocked & sad when I realized the reason for your site. I am so sorry that things didn’t work out. But I am glad you decided to stick with your SVG adventures. I expect great things from you & Mary. Both of yall are still *family*
Just an idea- can you add a NEW category? I like to peek in & see what’s new. Good luck Leo, & I’m looking forward to seeing all the great things you create for our paper fun!!

  8. Judy says:

Love your site, Leo! Will there be a video for each project? I’ve just downloaded the Santa Box card, but can’t see a video of how to assemble it.

    Thanks!

Your website is fantastic! I’ve been following you for years & you are number 1 with customer service. I LOVE Dreaming Tree & the wonderful svg’s you have created. I have made the lantern & Santa card & I’m in the middle of making the rest. What a great idea for the printable vellum. It makes the lanterns so awesome looking. I’m looking forward to ALL your future projects. I just know Dreaming Tree will be extremely successful. Thank you for all you do.

I have never purchased Svg file form anyone other from SVG cuts ( you and Mary) so when I got an email from Dreaming Tree I was like who is this (scam) . Then I saw it was you Leo. I was then like WOO HOO . I was a loyal customer to your previous site and will follow you here also. Best of luck to you and Mary both on your new endeavors. Leo, congratulations on your new site. I have been a customer crafter of SVGcuts for a long time.
I was wondering if I need to create a new sign in?
    Margaret

  17. Sheri says:

All new businesses have growing pains. I had no issues with your site and am just so excited to see what is going to come next. Thank you for the freebies!!! So very kind and generous of you. Will you be selling Silhouette download cards like SVG did? No worries if not! I love the logo and name!!! As Tia always says “if you have a dream, you have everything”!!! And Dreaming Tree is just that!

  18. brendabelldesigns says:

    Leo,
Congrats on your new venture!! I love your assembly videos. The PDF files are right on point. I made the Cardinals Paperscape Box Card and I love the finished product. I have a slight manual dexterity issue but with your files, I was able to breeze right through it!

Leo i look forward to buying more of you creative svg’s. These are awesome and your assembly instructions are awesome. My cards came out awesome and I have received so many compliments. I am sorry that you and Mary parted ways, but in the end we gained another great website. Thanks, Teresa

  21. Vi P. says:

I just downloaded the coffin, thank you for the freebie. Just love, love the instructions, (supplies needed), is just what us crafter’s needed for faster cutting.

  22. Karel says:

Hi Leo, I was able to get all of my files downloaded and I just love them all. Can’t wait to see what else you have in the works. Congratulations on your new store launch. I know you and your company will go far and I am glad to be along for the ride 🙂

  23. Linda says:

I had no trouble ordering and getting my downloads. So happy you had so many customers at the grand opening. I know I will continue to be one. Due to limited satellite internet time, I can’t watch the videos but my friend who lives 60 miles from me will put them on a flash drive for me and send the videos in the mail. Where there’s a will, there’s a way! I’m loving your designs and can’t wait to see what you come up with in the future. I may have to take out a loan somewhere down the road if you keep making such wonderful goodies!

  24. Jerri Rush says:

Sorry to hear the news, but love the new site…very interesting to see someone else’s take on 3d cuts…How about some cowboy/rodeo sometime for all us westerners?

  25. Jan says:

Wow, growing pains already Leo and what a nice letter. You have nothing to worry about as your level of customer service is well known in the community. We are all excited about the new site and files. I bought the everything bundle and haven’t had a single issue with anything. The videos are such fun and can’t wait to see what you and your team will come up with next. I also can’t wait to start seeing projects made with your files out on the web, Pinterest, etc! Thanks for the freebies, so generous of you! OK, so I have all your files now and waiting for new ones 🙂

  26. Brianna says:

I love the new website, and I especially like your logo (and your name Dreaming Tree). The logo has been done very well might I add. I bought the box card bundle and thank you so much for the free files as well. I am very sorry to hear about you and Mary. I will remain a loyal customer to both of you.

  27. kj_riley4953 says:

Thanks Leo for all your support and quick responses. I was able to download with out any problems. I can’t wait to see what files you have next!! You are doing a great job and I know will continue to. I will be an ongoing supporter of both here and svgcuts.
    Kathleen

  28. Gail says:

I just downloaded the Halloween freebie. I was so pleased to see the directions start out with a materials list! Way to go Leo!

  29. Julie says:

I’ve been with you since the beginning (my first order was March, 2009), so I know that this is the kind of thing that typically happens sometimes but the response YOU give IS NOT typical. We are all in the best of hands. So looking forward to what you come up with. Hoping for some regular cuts too with different themes? maybe? 🙂 🙂

  30. Cindy says:

Thank you for the great free files. I look forward to seeing what else you create in the near future. I have ordered
from you old website and was always very pleased. Good Luck with your new company.

  31. Maria Calderone says:

Congrats Leo on your new adventure!!! Haven’t gone through all of the files yet, but from what I have seen so far, they are super FAB…looking forward to going shopping in the next few days! Wishing you the best!!! ~ Maria

  32. Marianne says:

Good luck on your new venture. What of the first things that I noticed that I like a lot is that you are
selling individual designs and not a group of designs. I think I will like this idea, because you are not
having to purchase multiple designs, some of which you are not going to use. The best of luck to
    you in your new venture.

  33. Vicenta says:

Just bought your new Halloween box cards. I check in every couple of days to see what new designs you guys have come up with. Love them all…Thank you

  34. Sandra says:

Wow! I’m so glad you invited me to see your new site. I’m not looking for anything right now, but I love what I see and signed up for the newsletter and grabbed the freebie so I can see if I can master loading your patterns to my Silhouette. That is, once we finish unpacking and I can play.

  35. Angela says:

Wow fabulous looking designs, I can’t wait to try them out. Just a little question though, I don’t always have 12×12 to work with and being in the UK we have a lot of (A4 size) approx 8.27″ x 11.69″ card sheets, are there any plans to add an alternative cutting plan to the files to allow them to be cut on 8 x11 sheets? Things like the lanterns perhaps? I could try and slice them in sections on my Crciut Explore and add joining strips but would be happy to pay a little more for designs that may be suitable for cutting on smaller sheets and make up with more pieces 🙂

  36. Rolanda says:

Leo so happy for you. I have thought about you and Mary often since our conversation. I just placed my first order and I am sure there will be more. What machines will work with your files?
Sending positive thoughts for a awesome new adventure.
    Lynne

  37. Mary says:

Congratulations and good luck on this new venture, Leo. I have been an SVG customer for a while and once had the opportunity to speak with you personally. It was an error on my part that prompted me to email you several times. You, in the tradition of your great customer service, called me directly and helped me figure out what I had done wrong. God bless you and good luck.
    Mary
